Gospel Music Lyrics Software: Discover Power of Praise and Adoration::
The Lord is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.(John
4:23-24). Worship is a way of life and is not limited to music.. Every act of obedience to God
is an act of worship..
Have you ever wondered about the effect of praise and worship in your life as a
Christian? The Bible says "God dwells in the praises of His people". You can experience
His manifested presence as you cultivate an attitude of praise. My relationship and sense of God's presence has increased over the last couple of
years as I started spending more time in praise and worship through music lyrics,
including psalms. I discovered there is a rich heritage
of praise, adoration and worship
in hymns. I'm sure you'll discover this dimension as you do the same.
Have you tried to remember the words of a song you really liked but couldn't?
Or have you come across some lovely gospel lyrics and you wished you knew the tune? Sometimes it happens to all of us. Here is software that has a searchable categorized database of worship music from a collection of gospel music lyrics in the
public domain. This includes hymns that are well known and others that aren't.
The software will help you search, listen, play and even learn new hymns without
a struggle. You can try the "Digital Praise and Worship Partner"
for free.

that you can learn new gospel
music lyrics and tune. If you want, you can mute the player and play your own instrument.
If in group Bible study or in Church you can project the gospel lyrics on to an
overhead projector..
I trust you will find this a treasure in your praise,
worship and edification in the body of Christ - in your personal devotions,
in group Bible study, etc.. and
you can try it for free. Our Lord Jesus
Christ is worthy of all praise, all glory and all honor.
As you practise singing praise and worship lyrics, and meditate on
the words, your life will be enriched.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord."
(Colossians 3:16) KJV
"So we Thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give Thee thanks forever: we will show forth Thy praise to all generations."

Have you ever been overwhelmed by situations?
King David
King David was a praiser. He wrote the Psalms (most). Imagine his despair when he found women and children, including his family, had been captured by the enemy at
Ziklag and even his own people wanted to stone him? What did he do? He encouraged himself in the
Lord (1 Samuel 30:1-18) and then asked for God's advice from the
prophet. I reckon David sang Psalms (e.g. Ps 23) about God's faithfulness and then
'prayed'.
What
do you do yourself? Sometimes other people can be very disappointing (Jeremiah
17:5-7 - trust in God alone). God may use people to help you but the
glory goes to Him.
Use the Gospel music lyrics software to discover and
experience the beauty and power of praise - whether alone, in a group, in church
- whenever and wherever possible.
Do you remember these guys ?
Job, Jehoshaphat, Moses ...
Praise is not conditional. It should not depend on how we feel. Sometimes it may
be more effective when we don't feel like praising - then it is truly a sacrifice
of praise.. We praise and worship God for who He is, we thank Him for what He has done, what He is doing, and what
He will
do - as contained in His promises. We trust Him to fulfil His promises for
He is faithful and true(truthful). He has made a covenant with believers through
Jesus Christ His Son.
Remember Job, after suffering through sickness and losing his possessions,
declaring that even though the Lord were to slay him he would still trust
the Lord i.e. unconditionally. He said the Lord would be his salvation. (Job 13:15-16).
Remember when King Jehoshaphat was surrounded by three armies (from Ammon, Moab
and Mt. Seir). The Lord through prophet Jahaziel told the King not to worry for
the battle was the Lord's. The King instructed the people to go ahead singing praises
to the Lord. God ambushed the enemy, caused confusion, the armies fought each other
and annihilated one another. Judah collected the riches and jewellery that was left
by the enemy.(2 Chronicles 20:20-28).
Remember Moses thanking God in song after being delivered from the Egyptian army:
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spoke, saying,
I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider
hath he thrown into the sea. (Exodus 15:1) KJV
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is (has) become my salvation: he is my God, and
I will prepare him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. (Exodus
15:2) KJV

Praise and
Prayer ::
Peter, Paul and Silas.
Herod captured Peter and put him in prison after he had killed James (brother of
John). He wanted to kill him also. The Bible tells us that the body of believers prayed
for Peter without ceasing. At night as Peter slept, chained to two soldiers one on
each side, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, his chains fell off, and the angel
led him out of the prison. Peter at first thought it was a vision. When he was outside
the prison, he came to himself and recognized that God is the one who had delivered
him from Herod. (Acts 2:3 - 11)
In Philippi, Paul and Silas were locked up in jail after they had cast an evil spirit
out of a young woman. While in prison they were praying and praising God. Suddenly
a great earthquake shook the prison and all the gates were opened and their chains
fell off. The keeper of the prison wanted to kill himself thinking that they had
escaped. Peter intervened and in the end led the guard and his family to believe
in the Lord Jesus (Acts 16:25 - 35)

Someone illustrated the difference between prayer and praise as follows:
He said that as we pray, angels take our prayers to God in Heaven. But as we praise,
God (His manifested presence) comes down to inhabit our praises.
In prayer we often
come to God with a wish-list, we often pray 'selfishly' about our personal needs.
It is more effective to delight in God, for He Himself has promised to grant us our desires when we delight in Him (Psalms 37:4).
Our actions and our relationship with Him matter more than what we utter
before Him. Jesus tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness
and all these other things (i.e. daily needs, etc..) will be added to us (Matt 6:32-33).
So how
do we delight in Him and how do we seek His Kingdom and His righteousness?
I believe
it starts with accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour,(Rom
3:23, Rom 10:9-10,13-14,
John 1:12) growing in the
kind of faith that pleases God (building the most holy faith for without faith it
is impossible to please God - Heb 11:6, Jude
1:20), delighting Him in worship through obedience and through
the fruit of our lips (praises
- Hebrews 13:15), witnessing to others about Him (Acts 26:22-23) and edifying one another in the Body of Christ - the Church (Rom
14:9, 1 Th 5:11).

In order to achieve this, we should increase in the knowledge of His will by reading
and hearing His word (Rom 10:17, for His will is revealed in His word) and by meditating
on His word and speaking it. We should also pray for wisdom and spiritual discernment
that we may always walk worthy of our Lord Jesus Christ (Col 1:9-10
). (In fact, I believe, prayer
is primarily for inviting God's will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven i.e.
we should always pray according to God's will i.e. stating or claiming what
God has said in His word).
When we go for prayer, we should first acknowledge God for who He is, through our praises, adoration and worship. That will create the right atmosphere to fellowship
with Him. The Holy Spirit will guide us to pray according to
His will (John
14:26, 1 Cor 2:13, Rom 8:26) . You will find that your prayers will be different, they will no longer
be self-oriented but more for grace to serve God and for enablement to do so. Your
passion to serve Christ will increase, your zeal for Godliness will increase and
you will be edified.
Gospel music lyrics contain a rich treasure of meditation to help us communicate
with God.
Finally 'Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.' Ps
150:6.
I believe you will find Gospel Music Lyrics Software (Digital Praise and Worship Partner) a treasure in your
personal devotion and an asset in Bible study and fellowship, etc.
